I list only one daughter Mary Ann Higgenbotham that married Albert Johnson. See information in Johnson section

I do have information on the descendants of Moses Higginbotham, but have been unable to connect. Mr. Helke Hall sent the information.

Senya Caroline Jarman born 31 MAR 1818 NC died 24 SEP 1903 Newton Co., MS married 19 MAR 1843 Sumter Co., AL to Charles Hitt. Charles Hitt had first married Susan Jarman 22 AUG 1839 in Sumter Co., AL

Charles Hitt and Susan Jarman 17 AUG 1839 Solemnized 22 AUG 1839 by H. Hitt, JP and Berry Jarman, Bondsman.

Charles Hitt married Seny Jarman 14 MAR 1843 Solemnized 19 MAR 1843 by Jesse P. Thomas, JP and Austin Hitt, bondsman. Thomas Jarman consents.

Thomas (X) Jarman will dated 29 NOV 1869 probated 6 APR 1870 wife Mary son Thomas Jarman, grandson William T. Jarman, son-in-law William Drinkard and his children, heirs of my deceased son Bryant Jarman and heirs of my deceased daughter Roxana Jarman Drinkard, grandson William Hearn, my living children to wit: Serena Hitt, Nancy Hearn, Ann Rinland, and himself and heirs of deceased children to wit: Bryant Jarman, Roxanna Drinkard and Mary Pratt. Exector: Benjamin P. Portis. Witnesses; J. J. Gordan, S. H. Hardin.

 

MOORE Family

Millicent Moore born 1816 possible Johnston Co., NC died 1895 Newton Co., MS married John N. Brooks. See Brooks section

John N. Brooks and Millicent Moore 3 DEC 1838 Solemnized 9th DEC by David Hitt, JP. Charles Hitt, bondsman. John N. Brooks swears that Millicent Moore, daughter of Hardy Moore is over 18

Later learned that a brother of Millicent Moore was Allen Moore in the 1850 Newton Co., MS census age 37 farmer born NC, wife Sally Moore age 34 born NC, son William Moore age 12 born AL, daughter Nancy age 10 born AL, son John age 8 born AL, daughter Anne age 6 born AL, son Thomas age 4 born AL and daughter age 1 born MS.
